Being a partner, parent, co-worker, boss, caretaker, etc. is often so different – and so much more difficult – than we dreamt it would be, and we may feel lost about how to even start to get clarity and re-focus toward living a more meaningful and rewarding personal and family life. Dr. Stewart provides psychotherapy to adults to help you learn specific and practical tools to overcome obstacles, get unstuck, and live a life of meaning, purpose, and passion.

These days, it seems like more and more of our children and teens are struggling with low mood and self-esteem, difficulty eating, excessive worrying, stressful friendships and relationships, and academic difficulties. Sometimes they may even seek relief through detrimental behaviors, such as dieting, overeating, cutting, substance use and abuse, engaging in emotionally, verbally, or physically abusive relationships, violence, etc. With specialties in children and teens, Dr. Stewart is committed to helping and advocating for youth by offering individual and family psychotherapy as well as stress-reduction and skills-based groups.

Having extensive training in eating disorder treatment and research, Dr. Stewart provides Family-Based Therapy (FBT) for anorexia and bulimia nervosa as well as other eating disorders, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Adolescent-Focused Psychotherapy (AFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
